How is the projected area of whole-house customization calculated? How does it differ from the expanded area?

Projected area refers to the width × height of the front projection of the cabinet body (excluding expansion in the depth direction), and is commonly used for categories such as wardrobes that are priced by square metre; expanded area is calculated by laying out all the boards of the cabinet body, and the value is usually larger. The conversion ratio between the two varies with the cabinet body layout (different numbers of shelves and drawers), and there is no fixed coefficient, so it must be calculated according to the drawings. Kitchen cabinets are generally priced by linear metre, which is not the same basis as projected area, so the unit must be confirmed when comparing prices.
