Is it normal for whole-house custom cabinet bodies to have gaps against the wall?

Is it normal for whole-house custom cabinet bodies to have gaps against the wall?

Gaps between cabinet bodies and the wall are actually quite common; what matters is how large the gap is and how it is finished. Walls can never be perfectly flat. When measuring, we confirm the wall flatness, kickboard and internal/external corner conditions, and then decide the finishing method, so small gaps are a normal allowance. But if the gap is wide enough to fit a finger, or is inconsistent from top to bottom, the wall may be out of plumb or the cabinet body may not be leveled, and the installer needs to address it with edge banding strips or sealant. By the way, custom wardrobes are priced by projected area; in Beijing the mainstream configuration of ENF particle board with PET door panels is 700–800 yuan/㎡, and in Baoding, Langfang, Xiong'an and Zhuozhou it is 595–680 yuan/㎡. The above are reference prices and do not constitute a formal quotation; the actual price must be calculated based on dimensions, design, materials, hardware quantity and on-site conditions.
