What should I do if the hinges on my whole-house custom furniture are making abnormal noises?

If the hinges are making abnormal noises, nine times out of ten it is a lack of oil or loose screws. First, wipe around the hinges with a dry cloth, put one or two drops of lubricating oil on the pivot, and open and close the door a few times so the oil seeps in; the noise usually goes away. If it still makes noise, check whether the screws fixing the hinges are loose. If they are loose, tighten them, but do not use too much force or you may crack the board. If the door panel is too heavy or the hinges are not load-bearing enough, they may also squeak. In that case, replacing them with a pair of hinges with better load-bearing capacity is more thorough. For hardware, you can choose Blum, Hettich, DTC, Higold, or Hegu. Do not scrub the hinges hard with a wet cloth at ordinary times; moisture getting in can easily cause rust. There is a ten-year warranty on cabinet bodies, but water damage, dampness, and human damage are not covered by the warranty. With proper daily maintenance, they can be used for a long time.
