Is a large gap around door panels in whole-house customization normal?

Whether the size of the gap around door panels is a problem depends on whether it is even and whether it affects use. Custom cabinets are affected by wall flatness, internal and external corners, and the kickboard, so leaving a small gap at the closing edge is normal; when measuring, we also confirm these conditions first before deciding on the closing method. But if the gap varies in width, the door panel is clearly crooked, or the gap is large enough to see the inside of the cabinet body, then it is an installation or processing precision issue: hinges that need adjusting should be adjusted, and parts that need rework should be reworked. It is recommended to open and close each door on site after installation and check them one by one; raise any problems promptly rather than arguing after move-in.
