Is it normal for whole-house customization to have an odor?

A slight odor is fairly common and does not necessarily mean the levels exceed the standard. New cabinet boards, edge banding, hardware, and installation accessories can all carry smells, and they usually diminish after a period of ventilation. Our cabinet body boards include particle board, plywood, eco board, and OSB, with environmental grades available in HENF, ENF, E0, FAS, and F4 star, and edge banding can use PUR edge banding or laser edge banding. If the odor is pungent or lingers for a long time, it is advisable not to move in yet, to increase ventilation, and to contact us for re-inspection. Cabinet bodies come with a ten-year warranty, and the product is returnable if not environmentally compliant, but water damage, dampness, and human-caused damage are not covered by the warranty.
