Whole-house customization and latex paint: which comes first?
The key to the relationship between latex paint and whole-house customization is not to apply paint over large areas after the cabinets are installed. A safer sequence is: complete the wall base treatment and leveling, apply one coat of primer or finish the main painting first, then install the cabinet bodies, and finally touch up the paint and finish the edges. Because the cabinet bodies are installed against the wall, wall flatness directly affects the finish at the joints; during measurement we confirm wall flatness, the condition of the kickboard, and the internal and external corners. Cabinet bodies carry a ten-year warranty, and are returnable if not environmentally compliant; water damage, dampness, and human-caused damage are not covered by the warranty, so during the painting stage also make sure wall moisture does not get trapped against the cabinet back panels.
