Why is there an extra charge for extra-high cabinets in whole-house customization?

The extra charge for extra-high cabinets mainly comes from higher board utilization and greater process difficulty. Standard boards can be laid out for ordinary cabinet heights, but once dimensions exceed the conventional size, fewer components can be cut from one board, and both waste and splicing operations increase. Thicker back panels, reinforced framing, and the stability of segmented splicing must also be considered. In addition, extra-high cabinets place higher demands on edge banding and side-hole precision, and logistics and carrying upstairs are more laborious. Taking wardrobes as a price example: basic configuration E0 particle board + PET door panel, Beijing 500–550 yuan/㎡, Baoding, Langfang, Xiong'an and Zhuozhou 425–467.5 yuan/㎡; mainstream configuration ENF particle board + PET door panel, Beijing 700–800 yuan/㎡, Baoding, Langfang, Xiong'an and Zhuozhou 595–680 yuan/㎡; upgraded configuration ENF eco board + PET door panel, Beijing 950–1,100 yuan/㎡, Baoding, Langfang, Xiong'an and Zhuozhou 807.5–935 yuan/㎡. The above are reference prices and do not constitute a formal quotation; the actual price must be calculated based on dimensions, design, materials, hardware, quantity, and site conditions.
