Is edge banding important in whole-house customization?
Edge banding is definitely not a minor matter in whole-house customization. It handles three things: first, it seals off the formaldehyde release pathways in the board; second, it blocks water and moisture to prevent the cabinet body from swelling and deforming; third, it determines whether the cabinet's edges and corners resist knocks and whether they will warp and darken after a few years of use. No matter how high the board's environmental grade is, it is useless if the edge banding is not done properly. Our ten-year warranty on cabinet bodies and returnable if not environmentally compliant (F12) are premised on this edge banding process meeting the standard. So when choosing customization, do not focus only on the board and door panel colors; ask clearly about the edge banding process and the quality of the glue line in person, and look at sample blocks.
