What should be confirmed before signing a whole-house customization contract?

Before signing the contract, first check whether the quotation is calculated by projected area or by linear metre: wardrobes are priced by width × height projected area, kitchen cabinets by linear metre, and any conversion to unfolded area must be verified against the drawings. Then confirm whether the board environmental grade (HENF, ENF, E0, etc.), door panel material, hardware brand, and edge banding process are written into the contract. The warranty terms must also be in black and white: ten-year warranty on cabinet bodies, returnable if not environmentally compliant, and no coverage for water damage, dampness, or human-caused damage. On price, do not just note a total figure; for example, a wardrobe with basic configuration E0 particle board + PET door panel is 500–550 yuan/㎡ in Beijing and 425–467.5 yuan/㎡ in Baoding, Langfang, Xiong'an and Zhuozhou, mainstream ENF particle board is 700–800 yuan/㎡ in Beijing, and upgraded ENF eco board is 950–1,100 yuan/㎡ in Beijing; make sure these match the tier you selected. The above are reference prices and do not constitute a formal quotation; actual pricing must be calculated based on dimensions, design, materials, hardware, quantity, and on-site conditions.
