What should be noted when using contract manufacturing for whole-house customization?

The biggest risk in contract manufacturing is unclear terms upfront leading to full rework later. First, drawings and pricing methods must be fixed: custom wardrobes are priced by projected area, custom kitchen cabinets by linear metre; expanded area conversions change with layout, so calculations must be based on drawings. Second, re-measure after water and electrical positioning is completed; confirm sink water supply and drainage, gas outlets, and range hood exhaust paths in advance; during measurement also check wall flatness, kickboards, and internal/external corners, and decide on finishing methods first. Third, panel environmental grade, door panels, edge banding process, and hardware brands must be written into the order item by item. Regarding price, reference tiers must be clearly stated, for example: custom kitchen cabinet basic configuration with E0 particle board cabinet body plus PET door, Beijing 900–1,000 yuan/linear metre, Baoding, Langfang, Xiong'an and Zhuozhou areas 765–850 yuan/linear metre; mainstream configuration with ENF particle board cabinet body plus PET door, Beijing 1,020–1,250 yuan/linear metre, Baoding, Langfang, Xiong'an and Zhuozhou areas 867–1,062.5 yuan/linear metre; upgraded configuration with ENF eco board cabinet body plus PET door, Beijing 1,300–1,650 yuan/linear metre, Baoding, Langfang, Xiong'an and Zhuozhou areas 1,105–1,402.5 yuan/linear metre. The above are reference prices, not a formal quotation, suitable for preliminary budgeting; actual projects require further calculation based on dimensions, design, materials, hardware, quantity, and site conditions. In addition, quotations do not include removal of existing cabinets; if removal of existing cabinets is needed, it must be stated in advance.
