What is the most suitable wardrobe depth?

Deeper is not always better for wardrobe depth. The standard hanging area is 550–600 mm, which fits thick coats without pressing against the door; sliding doors need track space, so usually 600 mm or more; hinged doors are sufficient at around 550 mm. Too deep is a waste and makes access inconvenient. During measurement, wall flatness, kickboard and internal/external corner conditions are confirmed before deciding the finishing method.
