Question: How high should a shoe cabinet shoe-changing stool be for comfort?

Answer: Do not use a one-size-fits-all height for the shoe-changing stool. The key to comfortable seated shoe changing is a seat surface 38–45 cm above the floor. For taller people or households with elderly members, lean toward 42–45; for households with many children, keep it at 38–40. Make the depth 35–40 cm so the thighs are supported when seated. If the shoe cabinet and stool are built as one unit, leaving 15–20 cm under the stool for frequently worn shoes is more practical. During measurement, we confirm wall flatness and kickboard conditions before deciding the finishing, so the stool does not press against the kickboard after installation. This does not involve pricing; confirm dimensions first, then discuss the cabinet body.
