Difference between linear metre and projected area for kitchen cabinets

Difference between linear metre and projected area for kitchen cabinets

Kitchen cabinets are priced by linear metre, calculated one metre at a time along the worktop length; base cabinets, worktops, and wall cabinets are usually converted proportionally into the linear metre price. Projected area is the front-facing area of width multiplied by height, mostly used for cabinet bodies such as wardrobes. The two pricing logics are different, so unit prices cannot be compared directly. Basic configuration: E0 particle board cabinet body + PET door panel, Beijing 900–1,000 yuan/linear metre, Baoding, Langfang, Xiong'an and Zhuozhou areas 765–850 yuan/linear metre; mainstream configuration: ENF particle board cabinet body + PET door panel, Beijing 1,020–1,250 yuan/linear metre, Baoding, Langfang, Xiong'an and Zhuozhou areas 867–1,062.5 yuan/linear metre. Worktops are commonly quartz, with cutouts processed according to the actual dimensions of the sink and hob. The above are reference prices and do not constitute a formal quotation.
