How do I repair edge banding that has come unglued?

Don't rush to tear off edge banding that has come unglued. First check the extent of the unglued area: small areas of lifting can be treated locally, but large areas of detachment require the entire strip to be redone. When repairing, clean off old glue and dust, then re-hot-press with edge banding of the same color. PUR edge banding or laser edge banding is best, as the bond is stronger and the glue line is finer.
