Do white cabinets make a small apartment look bigger?

White cabinets do help with making a space look bigger, but they are not a cure-all. White cabinets can reduce visual weight, and with floor-to-ceiling design and fewer handles they look cleaner; however, if the walls are also cool white and the lighting leans yellow, they can easily look dirty and dated, so it is advisable to create a slight contrast in layering between the white door panels and the white wall paint. For cabinet body boards you can choose particle board, plywood, eco board, or OSB; environmental grades include HENF, ENF, E0, and others, and white door panels commonly use PET or double-faced finish. Prices are tiered by wardrobe: basic configuration E0 particle board + PET doors, Beijing 500–550 yuan/㎡, Baoding, Langfang, Xiong'an and Zhuozhou 425–467.5 yuan/㎡; mainstream configuration ENF particle board + PET doors, Beijing 700–800 yuan/㎡, Baoding, Langfang, Xiong'an and Zhuozhou 595–680 yuan/㎡; upgraded configuration ENF eco board + PET doors, Beijing 950–1,100 yuan/㎡, Baoding, Langfang, Xiong'an and Zhuozhou 807.5–935 yuan/㎡. The above are reference prices and do not constitute a formal quotation; the actual price must be calculated based on dimensions, design, materials, hardware, quantity, and on-site conditions.
