How tall can a door panel be without needing a straightening bar?
There is no one-size-fits-all industry standard for how tall a door panel can be without a straightening bar. Generally, door panels within 2.4 metres, with sufficient board thickness and good edge banding, have a relatively low risk of warping and may be installed without one; beyond this height, especially full-board floor-to-ceiling doors, adding one is recommended in most cases. However, the door panel material also matters: double-faced melamine and vacuum-formed panels are relatively stable, while lacquer and solid wood veneer place higher demands on the substrate. Our door panels are available in double-faced melamine, PET, vacuum-formed, lacquer, and solid wood veneer, with PUR edge banding and laser edge banding options. The specifics for your home need to be calculated based on the drawings and boards. The processing lead time is usually 15–45 days, depending on the boards and craftsmanship.
