Is the screw-holding capacity of particle board sufficient?
Whether the screw-holding capacity is sufficient depends mainly on the board core density and the coordination of edge banding and hardware, not just on the board's name. Particle board has an internal structure of interlocking wood particles; when standard household hinges and three-in-one connectors are driven in, they hold firmly, but the number of repeated disassembly and reassembly at the same position is limited, so hole positions must be set correctly in one go during installation. For edge banding, we can use PUR edge banding or laser edge banding (F17); properly sealed and protected hole positions reduce the risk of loosening from moisture. For hardware, choose Blum, Hettich, DTC, or Higold (F18) for more reliable screw grip. If you are truly concerned about positions subject to frequent disassembly, you can partially switch to plywood or eco board (F14).
